Work on the fire installation in the period starting July 21th until August 15th

We’ve tried to postpone the work on the fire installation, so that it didn’t overlap the busy periods in the lab (spring due to thesis and internships in the lab). However, the work should be done quickly in order to meet the fire safety requirements. So it has been postponed to weeks 30-33 (July 21 – August 15). Week 33 is also the Uitweek, when we can’t test in the lab anyway.

At the start of this academic year there were also some construction activities, but those were relatively quiet. The construction work that still needs to be done, will involve the inside of the cabins and there will be noisy drilling in order to make sure the fire alarm makes enough noise everywhere.
