If there are no alternative options for conducting your experiment, scheduling participants outside of regular opening hours is possible. You can see the opening hours of the buildings here.

Opening the facilities on weekends entails considerable expenses due to the employment of additional employees at weekend rates. Therefore, testing participants during weekends should be restricted. Testing during holidays is not possible.

Please follow the following steps:

  1. Obtain approval from lab manager Iris Mulders: have her sign the consent form. The consent form can be found here.
  2. Provide the dates and times to Iris, who will then forward them (with the consent form) to Rianne Idema. The following will then be discussed:
    • Whether a building can remain open after opening hours (the security guard and the UU Control Room must be informed).
    • Clear arrangements need to be established with the UBB reception regarding granting access to the participants.
  3. Read the emergency procedure, available here. Ensure you understand and can implement this procedure.
  4. Obtain an approved alarm tool from the Front Office team leader (FSC office, Boothstraat 6). Please make an appointment with them to collect and return it.

Good luck testing your participants!
